What is a Part-Time After Hours Dispatcher?

​

As a part-time after hours dispatch representative of Rolling Hills Logistics you will assist RHL staff with managing Rolling Hills Logistics current book of business after normal operating hours.  This position is a part-time nights and weekends only position.  The after hours team hours are between 6PM EST to 6AM EST Monday - Friday and Saturdays 12PM thru 12AM Monday.  Your role is critical to the successful mission of Rolling Hills Logistics to provide our clients with superior world class customer service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 

 

As a part-time after hours dispatcher you will be following up with carriers to ensure on time pick up and delivery, resolving carrier issues and communicating carrier issues with RHL Logistics Account Managers to provide the most efficient solution to meet and exceed our customers and carriers expectations alike.  The working hours for this position will be rolling days and weekends.  Typically each after-hours dispatcher will be responsible for a rolling period throughout the evenings and weekends.  If you’re a problem-solver, a team player, and good at multitasking, then look no further, RHL is the place for you!

Here is what we expect you to do:

  • Be a team player and assist in managing Rolling Hills Logistics after-hours dispatch lines.

  • Work remotely from your home or favorite beach.  This is a remote position meaning you don't need to come to RHL to successfully complete your duties.

  • You must be reliable and be available during your shift at all times via phone, email and instant message communications.

  • Manage shipments and resolve issues after normal operating hours.  In addition, you will communicate with RHL Logistics Account Managers and carriers to ensure pick up and delivery is made on time, every time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Follow RHL's guiding principles.

  • Evenings and Weekend availability is a must.

Here is what you will need to get our attention:​

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both RHL staff and carriers.

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task multi-complex situations all at one time.

  • The ability to work with the latest computer technologies including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Mac IOS, CRM, and our web-based TMS system.

  • An obsession for great customer service, honesty, integrity, pride and character.
